Christine's father had passed when she was young and the mistress of the opera house took care of her. The Phantom, from behind a mirror in her room, came to her each night as the Angel of Music (Christine thought it was her dead father coming to her). As you listen, be prepared to describe what the Angel of Music is to Christine and how the Music of the Night effects both Christine and the Phantom.
